The carols presented here are the actual performances rendered at Midnight Mass on Christmas morning. Each side tells the story of Christmas from the silence of the cold night to the exuberant jubilation of the angels and men upon the birth of the Savior.
The St. Cecilia Choir is the senior choir of St. John of God Roman Catholic Church in Chicago. It is a mixed chorus having an active membership of approximately sixty voices. Mr. Reginald Sobolewski, organist at the church since 1937, has the twofold task of directing the choir and supplying the accompaniment. The following program was arranged by Mr. Sobolewski and Mr. Roman Wojcki of Romek Recording.
